The Independant Commission of Experts Switzerland - World War II
in an international context
Conference of the Swiss Historical Society
28th February – 1st March 2003
Fribourg (Switzerland)
The conference - in a theoretical approach - will
discuss the processes of remembering and repressing painful events
and show the development of the historical discussion concerning
the period of national socialism in Switzerland. Additionally, the
possibilities and difficulties with which state historical commissions
are confronted will be discussed on an international level. Based
on selected themes, Swiss and other European results will be presented
